BRIDGEPORT Water clear; 55–59 degrees; 15.92’ low. Black bass are fair on Megabass Knuckle 60 crankbaits around shallow cover as well as Texas rigged Havoc craws. Crappie are excellent on minnows near the 380 bridge. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs. Channel catfish are good on trotlines.
BROWNWOOD Water lightly stained; 58–64 degrees; 11.00’ low. Black bass to 6 pounds are good on redbug and green pumpkin Grande Bass soft plastics, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits around docks in 3–5 feet. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are excellent on minnows and jigs off Kirkland docks and at Wild Duck Marina in 15–25 feet. Crappie are excellent on minnows and watermelon tube jigs over brush piles, off Kirkland docks, and at Wild Duck Marina in 5–18 feet. Channel catfish are slow. Blue catfish to 8 pounds are good on trotlines baited with live bait in 5–10 feet. Yellow catfish to 40 pounds are good on trotlines baited with live bait in 5–10 feet.
BUCHANAN Water lightly stained; 58–62 degrees; 28.68’ low. Black bass are fair on green pumpkin Curb’s jigs, JDC Skip–N–Pop topwaters, and wacky rigged watermelon red Whacky Sticks in creeks. Striped bass are fair on live bait and jigging white Curb’s bucktail jigs around Shaw Island. White bass are good on Pirk Minnows and Tiny Traps near Paradise Point. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are good on juglines and trotlines near Paradise Point.

FAIRFIELD Fishing has been slow since the fish kill in September of 2010. TPWD has discontinued stocking the lake after another kill in early September 2011. Redfish and black bass survived the kill in limited numbers.
FALCON Water stained; 63–67 degrees; 34.21’ low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and Rat–L–Traps. Striped bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on minnows, frozen shrimp, shad, and cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow. FAYETTE Water stained. Black bass are good on shallow running shad colored crankbaits over grass, and on watermelon and watermelon seed Carolina rigged soft plastic worms along the outside edges of grass. Channel and blue catfish are slow.
FORK Water clear; 57–61 degrees; 4.32’ low. Black bass are good on black/yellow flipping jigs in 10–12 feet around timber near channels – some fish being caught on beds at mid day all over the lake. Yellow bass are slow on minnows. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are good on prepared bait.
FT. PHANTOM HILL Water clear; 59–64 degrees; 11.71’ low. Black bass are fair on chatterbaits and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair to good on slabs. Catfish are fair to good on cut bait.
