The fire did destroy the trailer and a side-building.  Thanks to neighbors that arrived at the scene after calling 911, the fire didn’t spread from one home to the next.

Neighbors responded with water hoses that kept the fire from becoming bigger than it was.  One neighbor’s yard was starting to burn when a quick thinking neighbor called attention to the fire departments.  A full tank of propane (the size for crawfish boils) was also pointed out to the firemen.

Neighbors helping neighbors.

The Chambers County Fire Marshall is investigating the fire.
