Carmen J. Varnado passed away unexpectedly on January 31, 2012, at approximately 5 AM, at her home in Mont Belvieu, Texas. Carmen was born October 7, 1971, to Linda O’Neill and Robert L. Lochridge. She married Mark Varnado on June 15, 1994, in Dallas, Texas. Carmen and Mark have one child, Chandler. Carmen worked for Barber’s Hill ISD as a bus driver on the Number 10 bus for approximately 8 years. Carmen loved the children she worked with on the bus. She made brownies to share with her young passengers and showed care, attention and affection to them. She also loved interior decorating and fixing up her home. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 
She is survived by her husband, Mark, her son, Chandler, her mother, Linda O’Neal, her father, Robert L. Lochridge, her sister, Melissa J. Vasques, her brother-in-law, Pedro Vasques, her brother Mike O. Bryant and his wife, Donna Bryant, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by special friends, the Spell and the Barnhart families. 
The viewing will be at Crespo and Jirrels Funeral Home, 6123 Garth Road, in Baytown, Texas, on Friday, February 3, from 6 PM to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions for a college fund for Carmen’s son, Chandler, can be directed to the Barber’s Hill Bank. Details will be forthcoming.
