|Alvis Lee Steadham, 72, of Mont Belvieu was born January 22, 1939 in Baytown and passed away Friday, June 3, 2011 in a Houston hospital. He was a graduate of Barbers Hill High School and had served in the U. S. Army National Guard. He enjoyed fishing and ranching.He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lois Steadham; brother, Leon Steadham; and son, Brent Steadham. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Barbara Steadham of Mont Belvieu; daughter and son-in-law, Leigh Ann and Brent Tuttle of Golden, CO; son and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Jennifer Steadham and Kim Steadham, all of Mont Belvieu; stepdaughters and step sons-in-law, Trudy and Wayne Henscey of Mont Belvieu and Terry and Todd Turner of Anahuac; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wilbie Ray and Florance Steadham of Charles Town, WV and Judy Frank and Linella Steadham, Willard Earl and Kay Steadham, and Hazel Steadham, all of Mont Belvieu; grandchildren, Kaylee Steadham, Kyle Steadham, Scott Heffernan, Ali Steadham, and Heaven Cernosek and Colby, Chase, and Camryn Henscey and Shae and Cole Turner; and great grandson, Cohen Cernosek.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Tuesday, June 7, 2011 beginning at 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Leroy Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at the Mont Belvieu Methodist Cemetery.
