Thank you for all of the offers of assistance for the McCormick girls. The family will need our support for an extended time.
A fund has been set up at Barbers Hill Bank in the name of “Destiny and Patience McCormick”. You may drop off contributions at the bank, or mail them to:
Barbers Hill Bank Destiny and Patience McCormick Fund PO Box 2155 Mont Belvieu, Texas 77580Destiny is an eighth-grader at Barbers Hill Middle School. She remains in PICU at Texas Children’s Hospital with fractures to her neck, back and leg. She also has extensive damage to her facial bones.
Patience is in the fourth grade at Barbers Hill Elementary. She is in a room at Memorial Hermann Hospital recovering from heart surgery to repair trauma suffered in the accident. She also has a broken arm and facial damage.
Mom to both girls is Sherry Henson, an hourly employee of Dillon Donuts.
Destiny and Patience were two of ten occupants of a Toyota 4Runner driven by their father, which was involved in a one-vehicle accident early Sunday morning. The girls are unaware that their father was killed. Here is more information about the accident: http://www.click2houston.com/news/23435467/detail.html
As many of you have mentioned, caring for a loved one in the Medical Center is very expensive. Sherry’s plight is infinitely multiplied. Please consider helping this Mom; she cried upon receiving the cash we sent this morning.
